SEPTEMBER 2016: MONTHLY PROGRESS REPORT

SEPTEMBER 2016: MONTHLY PROGRESS REPORT

September is officially over and we are now in the final quarter of the year!
What a month it’s been!
September was quite a big month for me, as I headed back home to Australia after 7 months in South East Asia.
I returned home on the 23rd/24th of September which was a total culture and climate shock, but it was great to see the family and catch up with friends from back home.

You can check out my vlog of me heading back home below.

Before I headed home, I was living in Koh Phangan, Thailand.
It’s a small island that’s quiet for most of the month (until full-moon time) but I love it there. It was just what I needed after the craziness of Phuket.
I managed to get a decent amount of work done, and things really started to pick up this month.

Let’s get into it and see how I did!

GOALS

Fitness Goals

• Squat 200 kgs
• Deadlift 220kgs
• Bench press 110kgs
• Dunk with 2 hands

I got to gym way more consistently this month, getting there 5 times per week.
I took the month to focus on deadlifts primarily over squats, and also added the first plyometric workouts I’ve really had over the past few months.

Now back at home I’ve signed up at gym and have gone 6 days in the first week, which I plan to keep up. It’s definitely nice to have access to a 24-hour gym and nice new equipment.

I haven’t done much testing, but did try and do some heavy deadlifts. I managed a single deadlift at 190kg with quite good bar speed. I feel like I could have pulled 200kg or so which would match my PB, but still is a little way off of my 220kg goal.

I’ll be hitting gym pretty hard for the rest of the year. As well as that, I’m really watching my diet and eating quite Paleo, along with having no alcohol or caffeine. I’m working on treating an autoimmune disease I have called Grave’s disease that affects the thyroid, and hope to be completely rid of any Grave’s antibodies (aka be cured) within 6 months. So, I’m really motivated right now for health and fitness!

Business/Financial Goals

Launch Freedom Self Publishing
• Reach 1000 YouTube Subscribers
• Reach 100+ YouTube Videos
• Reach 100+ Blog Posts
• Make $50,000 From My Kindle Books
• Run a Kindle Mastermind/Seminar
• Grow Income to $10,000 Per Month
• Publish 20 Books Under a New Account

Now onto my business/financial goals. I had quite a good month financially!

I had a record number of sales of my Freedom Self Publishing course, where I welcomed 25 new members!
I had aimed to sell an average of 1 copy per day for January next year, but this month almost hit that target! I was featured in a couple of podcasts which really helped boost sales, and most of the sales were through affiliates.

I only added 2 more blog posts which brings the total to 52.

I also added 5 new YouTube videos which brings my total to 82! Getting close to achieving the goal of 100 videos.
I had a great month with getting new subscribers, and at the end of September now have 690 subscribers, which is a growth of 190 new subs for the month! I’m very confident I’ll hit my 1000 subscriber goal at this rate which is awesome! I really enjoy YouTube and am looking forward to putting out some high quality videos as I travel next year.

I’ve just published my 10th book under my new Kindle account, and this month it actually made slightly more than my original account which has close to 200 books!
The original account had a down month, making just over $2000 (normally makes $2500 or so) but it goes to show that you need quality books over quantity.
For September I had 8 books in my new account that were all through their free promos and making money, and that made me approximately $2300 for the month.

Pretty cool that all in all I’m on track to make over $1000 per week passively from books! Crazy!

I want to double the number of books to 20 by the end of the year, and get the new account to consistently make me $4000+ a month.

That would be $6000 in total per month, meaning $72,000 a year in highly passive income! That would be amazing for 2017!

I had one coaching client, some random small affiliate commissions, and my Freedom Self Publishing sales bringing me a total of just under $2000 also!

All in all, I made just over $6000 for the month, minus about $700 in expenses of getting new books made and reviews posted. Those expenses are not ongoing which is the awesome thing!
I’m confident I’ll be able to hit the $8000 a month mark soon which is a goal I set for my Gold Watch Challenge.

I’ve also been looking heavily into forex and have been through a currency trading course recently. I just signed up to FXCM and in October will be looking at placing a few trades which will hopefully be a consistent new income source for me!

Now, Lifestyle/Personal Goals

Spend 5+ Months Overseas
Go to Bali
Go to Koh Phangan, Thailand
Go to Bangkok, Thailand
Go to Chiang Mai, Thailand
• Buy a Gold Watch
• Become Conversational in Russian

All of the travel goals have been completed, though I am looking at heading back to Chiang Mai from mid November to mid December. I’m just so much more productive there, so it would be a great place to finish the year strong! If you’re reading this and will be there during that time, let me know!!

I plan to buy a gold watch when I hit $8000 in revenue a month, which I hopefully hit soon thanks to my growing new Kindle account!

And I am almost finished my Russian course which I should complete hopefully by the end of October. Then, there is an advanced course that I hope to finish by the end of 2016, along with doing a lot of practice. It’s a super tough language, and defining ‘conversational’ is hard to do, but I’m very happy with how far I’ve come and hope to be able to hold some good conversations in Russian by the end of the year!

All in all, I feel like my trip overseas was a big success.
I’ve come back having made some great process, but also having had made some amazing friends along the way.
I’ve learned so much, and am definitely a bit different than when I first left. Mostly, more confident in myself, and even more sure that I’m on the right path.

My expenses for the month were quite high because of buying flights home to Australia. Now I’m back here and staying with family, I can save a little bit. Especially since I won’t be drinking at all.

I’m looking forward to making October a great month, and finishing off the final quarter of the year strong!
I’m aiming to publish close to a book per week to my new Kindle account, hit the gym 6 days per week, stick to a strict diet, and practice Russian for 1-2 hours per day. I also want to re-launch my Kindle course, and release a high-end Kindle training/coaching product also.
It’s a lot to get done, but I’m motivated, feeling good, and am ready to crush it!

I hope your goals are going great.

Let’s crush the 4th quarter of 2016 and finish off the year strong!

Until next time,

  1. Hey,
I’ll be in CM if you are going back during November. It will be my first time there! I haven’t bought your course as I’m focusing on one business model at a time. Working on ecommerce right now, and can’t decide if I want to create some affiliate sites or publish some kindle books later. What are your plans for the course relaunch?

    • Hey Preston,
I’ll be there November 15th so may see you there!
I’ll simply adding a few extra videos, and re-doing some current ones to make them a little more relevant.
I’ll be putting a bit of a focus on the new difficulties surrounding getting book reviews and how to get around it. The price will also be getting bumped up when I re-launch as well, most likely to $197
